Polish Cabbage Casserole

  • 1 small cabbage, chopped
    1 lb boneless skinless chicken or 1 lb lean stewing beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
    1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1 tablespoon paprika
    Combine all ingredients in a heavy Dutch oven.
    Bring to a boil over high heat.
    Reduce heat and simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
